My name is Eelco Dorrestijn, founder of Elodor Engineering. In 2011, I decided to turn my passion into my profession—when what seemed like a simple request for help unexpectedly became the beginning of my own company.

It started with a request from Techrom, a small company specializing in laboratory equipment, to assist with the software development of an evaporation device: the AccuVap. The hardware had already been largely developed, but the collaboration with the original builder had ended. To approach this project professionally, I founded Elodor Engineering and registered it with the Chamber of Commerce. Secretly, I had always dreamed of starting my own business—this was the right moment.

In the period that followed, I worked with Techrom on several projects, including the development of their website and support in selling laboratory fittings (Pressfits). Although that collaboration gradually faded into the background, the seed was planted: a focus on technical development within the laboratory world.

In 2012, through Techrom, I came into contact with Labvise, with whom I have since developed multiple products—particularly in the area of automation and software for laboratory devices. Our collaboration is based on mutual trust and a shared ambition: to create innovative and high-quality solutions for analytical laboratory equipment.

A great result of this collaboration includes the COC13 cold on-column injector and various Cooling Trays for GC-MS systems. These products are used by international companies and are currently sold through distribution channels such as Thermo Scientific in Breda.

At Elodor Engineering, everything revolves around reliability, quality, and collaboration. My goal is to develop laboratory products that excel technically and truly meet practical needs. No mass production, but tailor-made solutions with care—built on experience, technical expertise, and a healthy dose of curiosity.
